Hello Heighington, Its good to see all the happy thoughts of former pupils. I am a former pupil too.Its about 60 years since I left your school. My family farmed at Houghton-le-Side and I walked to and from school each day. Very few people had motorised transport in those days. School days were happy days and I am pleased to see they still are.

Lovely site and nice to see you all doing so well. Jen and Lucy both doing really well at Woodham, Jen in the middle of GCSEs at moment the off to Yarm School 6th Form hopefully, she still wants to be a Doctor, must have been the excellent teaching she received at Heighington. Lucy likes school but loves animals more. Both girls sporty thanks Mr Coates Riding swimming shooting and running in what spare time we have. Fantastic school and miss you all very much FJL xx

i love this school and it has realy improoved over the years! thank you friends of the school for the climbing wall, baby grand piano etc.

Hi im just letting you know that i am doing fine at Greenfield and hope Heighington is to! I still sometimes miss Heighington but we all have to grow up one day. Love the website. Nathan and Clara attended Heighington for over 2 years and we still miss England and Heighington too. I checked the old site periodically and found this one only recently. We especially love the pictures. Congratulations on Mr. Parker's achievements and all the school improvements. It all looks lovely.
